What is there at Hoton Playing Field?

The Parish Council has agreed the main purpose of each area to guide our plans for the playing field.

The Playing Field is comprised of the following zones:

Zone A: Entrance Area and Boundaries

Purpose: To provide an attractive entrance and boundary to the playing field for benefit of all users

Zone B: Children's Play Area

Purpose: To provide a fun and safe play area for children aged 0 to 6 and their carers

Zone C: Trim Trail

Purpose: To provide an exercise area for older children and adults

Zone D: Willow Tunnel

Purpose: To provide an attractive natural feature for the benefit of all users of the playing field

Zone E: Orchard

Purpose: To maintain the historical use of the area as an orchard for benefit of all

Zone F: Raised Beds and Hard Standing

Purpose: To provide an area for community gardening, a pleasant environment for social gatherings and a focal point for the playing field

Zone G: Tennis Court / Multi Sport Area

Purpose: To provide a hard surface area for games and sports for ages 5 upwards

Zone H: Wildflower Meadow

Purpose: To provide a natural habitat for meadow flora and fauna

Zone I: Wildlife and Picnic Area

Purpose: To provide an area for all ages to enjoy the natural surroundings of the park

Zone J: Sports Field

Purpose: Provide an area for all ages to play ball sports on a grass surface
